



Catalog description 
Physical properties of fluids, fluid statics; integral and differential equations of conservatino of mass, energy, and momentum;
principles of real fluid flows: boundary layer effects, flow through
pipes, flow in open channels, drag forces on bodies. 


Prerequisite:
ME 190 and Math 198. Graduate credit for students in earth and environmental sciences. 

Who takes it 
Usually undergraduate students from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Science during the junior year. 

What it's about 
This course is intended to provide a foundation in the principles of fluid mechanics with emphasis given to applications of fluid mechanics theory to civil engineering problems.
